What you read shapes you… The books i read.

Posted by Joji in My Journal

I love books. No day can I sleep without reading at least one page… If the book is very interesting I may even forget about sleep and finish the whole book.

The most I read have to do with Business & Management, Christianity, IT…. basically everything. I have a collection of books and this month I bought 5 books and I’m reading all the five… :)

My favourite authors: Dr. Ravi Zacharias, Philip Yancey, Merlin Carothers, Jeffry Archer, Sidney Sheldon, John Grisham… there are too many.

Check my bookshelf online at http://www.shelfari.com/jojimjohn/shelf I constantly update it with books I am reading…

My bad…

Posted by Joji in My Journal

Every couple of weeks or more precisely every once a month, I catch cold or flu quickly. This year I might have had a dozen cold, and a couple of flus. I am very allergic to dust and strong scents. Take for instance this christmas when I cleaned my room (i do it every now and then, so no stories there…) and ended up sneezing my head off for the next 2-3 days.

I get sick every so often that I ignore it completely. My mom warns me and even some friends lecture about it everytime.

I am never down but up and running even when my head hurts. I know its waiting to happen.((((((( Sneeze ))))))) life is short and there’s no time to rest.

Bye Bye 2005…

Posted by Joji in My Journal

Its been one hell of a year. I mean in a good way. Personally, I think I have changed a lot and was able to do things that I normally wouldnt. The year began rather very dull but by the end of it, the last two months has been the most busiest in my entire life.

Bringing with it the nights of tension and piles of pending work. Not all goals have been fulfilled but certainly this year has given me a boost to my confidence level. Now the year is ending in just a matter of days and I have added a bit to my list of goals to the previous pending list.

I would have loved to remove myself away from this screen atleast at this time of the year and taken a good holiday somewhere there is a lot of green, but its not likely. My friend’s wedding is just around the corner and a couple more coming up within days. Last week i attended another wedding and infact as i write this now, I have just a few hrs more to attend another wedding, this time of a cousin. Weddings Galore!!!

Good Bye 2005…

Across the thousand hills

Across the thousand hills
written by Joji M John

Across the thousand hills
Far beyond my eyes can see
Outstretched stands a condemned man
Says he’s doing this for me

Town folks couldn’t understand
Heard him speak; thought he’s a screw
The blind and the sinner stood approved
Dined he with them, their picture he drew

Who’s he to me? I wondered
His far-flung arms beckoning me
Until now I’d no clue but
I surrender, He’s done this for me

A friend in the rainbow

Posted by Joji in My Journal

A poem I wrote about a friend. I have tried my hand at writting poems even before but ended up in the bin. This one many not conform to any particular style but looks like Free Verse to me?

A friend in the rainbow
written by Joji M John

Mere words cannot say
I am little guy walking on
Let alone my mind ponder
no poet, no singer, no writer
I dont see a trace
I dont deserve this

No one really knew
My memories are so near
Or am i imagining this? Things unclear
You are my rainbow
wonderful, a sweet connection
You created my imagination

Midst the heartache; the glory
Made you me the poet, a singer, a writer
Am I? or just a friend who cares
Like a rainbow arrives after the rainstorms
Gave you me something to cherish
Be my true friend, I smile
Looking at the rainbow in the sky
You are the rainbow, You are my friend

Lovely is moving to kerala… that makes me sad. She was not well recently but her decision to go back to Kerala was a shock. I tried what i can to stop her but i failed…. so i am feeling sad that i will be missing her and who knows i might not be able to see her again…

So wherever she is I wish her well and hope i will be able to keep in touch. I know she wont be reading this but i just wanted to say out loud that i am feeling really sad.

moving blog to linux server

Posted by Joji in My Journal

I have to move the blog to my linux server. Presently it is on windows and it has problems with url rewrite. Initially it was working but all of a sudden it stopped. I did not post anything for quite a long time now because i was expecting to move it but because of the work load I could not do it sooner.

I might move it today or tomorrow… then i will start posting again.

Who is who???

Posted by Joji in My Journal

1) Project Manager is a person who thinks nine women can deliver a baby in one month.

2) Construction manager is one who thinks single woman can deliver nine babies in one month.

3) Controls manager is one who asks if the baby is in the budget (and it saves money to adopt one).

4) Project Engineer is a person who thinks he can deliver a baby even if no man and woman are available.

5) Section engineer is a person who thinks it will take 18 months to deliver a baby.

6) Client is the one who does not know why he wants a baby.

7) Engineering Team is still figuring out how to produce a baby.

8) Procurement Team thinks they do not need a man or woman; it will produce a child with zero resources.

9) Document Control Group thinks they don’t care whether the child is delivered, they will just document 9 months.

10) Quality Auditor is the person who is never happy with the PROCESS to produce a baby.

11) HR guy does not care…he just wants to recruit the woman!!!.

time for the next post…

Posted by Joji in My Journal

Its been some time since i even looked at my blog. I rarely get the time to do anything when i am between projects. I just take breaks to go out for a walk and read books.

I have a hell lot of stuff i have to do apart from the projects that i have to do for my clients like developing my own sites and marketing them. one of my sites has started making some good revenue just from google adsense… i know its gonna gain much more in the days to come because even with such less amount of effort its really not hard to see what it can do if u put some more work into that but as i said my hands are tied….

till then i have to be content of dreaming big about my own stuff and my plans of releasing some products in the market has also taken a backseat…. and i also need a break for a week… lemme see if i can go to ooty (my mom’s sis stays there) or some place else it would be gr8.

about my blog…ah well… i have a lot of travel snaps that i wish to put that i have taken when i have visited places… and if my digi cam works properly i will take a few more on my next trips.

until my next update (hopefully in a few days)… c ya.

Issac,Rebekah set wedding date

Posted by Joji in My Journal

This week trusted sources claimed that they had obtained reports from secret agent * * * * * that Issac is finally going to walk down the aisle at his wedding next * * ** *.

Last seen going in search of Rebekkah and after writing the long “How Issac met Rebekah” series the author now has enough reasons to rejoice after his long wait is finally going to be over… Not so long ago he had expressed his feelings with these words … “Please God, make it fast!!! Your servant is desperate”

The marriage, sources say is taking place on planet Earth. A friend of Issac who choose to remain undisclosed says it will be easier for Issac to remember his wedding anniversary and added that he wished his was also on a easy to remember date.

More news feeds about Issac's wedding story will be posted as and when it is available.
